Sometimes our mental well-being suffers because we have had a major life transition such as starting or finishing university, becoming a new parent, taking a new position at work, moving or Covid-19. Transitions are inevitable at any stage of life and can create anxiety, depression, and a general lack of self-confidence and motivation to move forward. I know it can feel overwhelming when you’re trying to navigate these challenges alone and I am here to help.
As a counsellor, I strive to create a safe environment where we can focus on exploring feelings, fostering self-compassion, and acceptance. My goal is to help my clients challenge negative thinking, develop coping skills, process traumatic events, and navigate their relationships more comfortably. I have experience working with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationships problems. I specialize in maternal mental health and perinatal mood issues, such as perinatal anxiety, postpartum depression and anxiety, and birth trauma. I also support individuals experiencing infertility, miscarriage, and loss.
I have learned the importance of understanding the perspectives and cultural backgrounds of each of my clients and tailoring my therapy sessions to the individual. I utilize evidence-based therapies, including strength-based, mindfulness, and cognitive behavior therapy. I am here to provide support, empathy, hold space, and empower you to achieve your goals. Let’s take that step together, you are not alone.
If you would like to learn more about me and us working together, please do not hesitate in sending me a message. I would be happy to answer any additional questions to make this process the most comfortable as possible.
