Is stress getting you down?
Would you like to have healthier and more meaningful relationships?
Are you tired of being limited by feelings of depression or anxiety?
You probably found your way here because you are looking for ways to make changes, so you can live a happier and fuller life. You are not alone in this process and counselling may provide you with different ways of looking at relationships and life. It is common for clients to come to me with concerns of relationships, stress, depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, self-esteem, transitions, career exploration, and life coaching. I also work with first and second generation immigrant issues, intercultural relationships, and other multicultural concerns.
In addition, I am passionate in providing services to young professionals in their 20s to 40s. You may be in the process of finding out your place in the world. You may be trying to understand who you are, know what you want, and where you are going. I will work with you on exploring areas such as identity, career choices, dating and relationships, sexual orientation, individuation from family, and life paths.
My style as a therapist is genuine, warm, respectful and non-judgmental, and I am committed to provide a safe and trusting space for our work. I try to understand you and work with you from where you are. I believe in supporting and empowering the inner strengths and wisdom that each of us has within ourselves that will help us get through difficult times. Through our work, we will explore your relationships with yourself as well as with others. You can develop better understanding, awareness, gain insights about your experience and your relationships. You may also find more compassion and acceptance to yourself. I will support you by being a companion in your journey of self growth.
I was born and raised in Taiwan, also lived in San Francisco and San Diego, CA. I have been providing psychotherapy and counselling services for more than15 years in various settings, including non-profit community agencies, out patient mental health clinics, university counselling centre, brief solution-focused therapy for youth (12-24), and private practice. My interests in personal growth and counselling have started as I began to work through my own difficulties and psychological sufferings at an early age. I hope to continue and never stop growing as a person. Outside of the counselling office, I enjoy walks, yoga, international movies, spending time with families and friends.
