Practice Information
I’m Jenny Hsuan Fang Hsu, a Registered Clinical Counsellor based in Vancouver. I offer counselling in English and Mandarin for individuals, partners, married couples, and families. Sessions are available in person in Vancouver and online across BC.
You may look like you are holding everything together, but inside you feel overwhelmed, disconnected, lonely, or unsure how to move forward.
Maybe you keep repeating the same relationship patterns. Maybe you feel unseen in your family, struggle to express what you need, or carry pressure from cultural and family expectations. You may also be moving through a breakup, grief, chronic pain, work stress, identity questions, or the emotional impact of a car accident.
Counselling can be a place to slow down, feel understood, and begin making sense of what is happening underneath the surface. Together, we can explore your emotions, patterns, needs, and relationships with care, curiosity, and respect.
My main approach is Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). I also draw from CBT, DBT, mindfulness, somatic-informed, trauma-informed, and attachment-based approaches. I do not believe counselling is about labeling you or telling you what to do. It is about creating enough safety to understand yourself more clearly, heal painful patterns, and move toward stronger connection with yourself and others.
My lived experience as a Taiwanese immigrant, queer, BIPOC counsellor shapes the way I hold space for clients. I understand how culture, family expectations, language, identity, and belonging can affect how we see ourselves and connect with others. In our work together, you do not have to over-explain who you are. You are welcome as you are.
For relationship, marriage, and family counselling, I do not take sides. I help people slow down difficult conversations, understand what is underneath conflict, and find new ways to communicate, repair, and reconnect. I also support families navigating cultural and generational differences, parent-child stress, coming out and identity-related conversations, and past hurts.

如果您正在尋找車禍後的心理諮詢,我是 ICBC 認可心理諮詢師,也在 ICBC Recovery Network 裡,可以在符合條件的情況下提供 ICBC 直接理賠。開始前,通常需要您的 ICBC claim number,以及 BC Services Card/CareCard 上的 PHN 號碼,讓我確認理賠與安排後續諮詢。
我支持華人、移民、跨文化伴侶、LGBTQ+ 族群,以及正在面對家庭期待、文化差異、親密關係壓力、分手、慢性疼痛、焦慮壓力、身份認同或家庭溝通困難的來談者。
我知道開始心理諮詢可能不容易。您不需要一次說清楚所有事情,也不需要先整理好所有感受。我會提供一個安全、保密、不評價的空間,讓我們可以依照您的步調,慢慢理解正在發生什麼,以及什麼對您來說是重要的。
