I am a Registered Clinical Social Worker from the lands of the Lekwungen speaking peoples. I have a BSW from McGill and an MSW from the University of Victoria. I have practiced social work for the past 40 years in Canada as well as the UK.
My practice has focused on supporting children, youth, adults and families who are experiencing anxiety; depression; grief and loss; trauma; behavioural dysregulation; life transitions; communication and conflict challenges; and those navigating chronic health issues. I have a private practice in Victoria which I really enjoy.
My work as a counsellor is holistic, strength-based, client-centred and trauma-informed. Helping individuals and families build capacity based on their values, beliefs and interests is fundamental to my practice. I believe that we are all on a journey of self discovery, trying to be the best versions of ourselves. I provide strategies and interventions to help with the journey.
