Hi I am Drew! I am passionate about working with people to help them understand themselves and work through whatever challenge they might be facing. I also believe that no matter how hopeless you feel about yourself or situation, things can change for the better. Together we can create space so that you can move forward from your challenging or traumatic experiences. No matter how helpless you might feel, I believe that you have inherit worth, strength, and resilience.
I have always had a passion for working with people and understanding what makes them tick. I am fascinated that in our uniqueness, we are deeply connected and intertwined with others. Learning to live with others and ourselves is a complex, lifelong process and often can leave us feeling stuck or confused.
Counselling can help provide clarity on specific issues such as anxiety, depression, and trauma. It also helps you to learn more about who you are and who you are in relationship with others. Together we can create space so that you can move forward from your challenging or traumatic experiences. No matter how helpless you might feel, I believe that you have inherit worth, strength, and resilience.
I completed Bachelors of Early Childhood Education at Capilano University and my Masters of Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. I have spent many years on the floor as an early childhood educator, as well as supporting families in the non-profit sector as an infant development consultant.
I work with individuals, teens, couples, children, youth and their families to address depression, anxiety, trauma, grief/loss, family and relationship issues, developmental delays/disabilities, suicide, women issues such as perinatal, postnatal, miscarriage, infertility, eating disorders, and post-traumatic stress disorder. I use person-centred, narrative, attachment, emotion focused, and cognitive behavioural approaches.
