Practice Information

With over 20 years of experience in career counselling and vocational rehabilitation, Amy Lloyd, MA, RCC, RRP, helps students, professionals, career changers, and individuals returning to work gain clarity and make informed career decisions.

Amy specializes in:

  • Career counselling and career transitions
  • Psychometric testing and vocational assessment
  • Career exploration for students and adults
  • Workplace challenges and return-to-work planning
  • Career decision-making following illness, injury, or disability
  • Identifying strengths, interests, values, abilities, and suitable career paths

Her approach combines counselling psychology, vocational rehabilitation expertise, and evidence-based assessment. Depending on the client’s needs, counselling may include focused career sessions, comprehensive testing, vocational research, and a personalized career plan.

Amy’s Career Exploration Packages use industry-standard psychometric assessments to examine career interests, work values, personality, strengths, and abilities. Results are interpreted collaboratively and supported by individualized research into career options, education and training requirements, employment outlook, and income information.

Clients seek Amy’s support when they are choosing a first career, considering a major change, feeling underused or dissatisfied at work, returning after a medical absence, or seeking an objective assessment before making an important educational or professional decision.

Amy provides a structured, collaborative process designed to turn insight into clear next steps. Her goal is to help each client develop a career direction that reflects who they are, what matters to them, and how they work and learn best.

Amy is the founder of Lloyd Counselling and a Registered Clinical Counsellor and Registered Rehabilitation Professional. She also has experience as a vocational consultant and expert witness in vocational rehabilitation matters.

All sessions are currently provided online through secure video appointments. Receipts are available for extended health or tax purposes, and clients are encouraged to confirm coverage directly with their insurer.
