People usually come to see me because they desire change. Sometimes they know exactly what they would like to change and need support, other times they have a nagging feeling that things in their lives don't feel right.
I believe we all have an inborn drive towards for connection and wellness but that we may not always have the tools to build happy and healthy lives. Difficult circumstances, trauma, or lack of healthy role modeling can complicated and confuse our natural drive towards the lives we want for ourselves. My passion is helping people connect with their unique internal drive. It's important to first understand the real or imagined obstacles along your path so that you can envision and build meaningful and fulfilling experiences.
I am an intuitive therapist who is also very interested in data; I employ therapeutic interventions that are supported by scientific research. A typical session will include in-depth talk therapy with a focus on emotions, physical sensations as well as thoughts and actions to see how these things interplay and affect mood and behaviours.
My intention is to build a trusting and respectful therapeutic relation that will help us to explore your life, situations or problems wholistically. This means I help you understand your emotions, thoughts, physical sensations through conscious and subconscious awareness. In our work we might use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Sensorymotor Psychotherapy, Mindfulness, EMDR or Hypnotherapy depending on the issue and your preference and comfort level.
