Do you feel dissatisfied or discontented with life?
Tired of looking happy on the outside, but feeling empty on the inside?
Do you constantly push people away that love you?
It is my passion to walk with people toward building a rich, full life; free from anxiety, depression and loneliness. I believe that you were made for connection and community in more ways than you may realize, and I can help you build it. My clients feel understood. Once concerns are shared, you no longer carry the burden alone and you can make decisions that fit with who you are with confidence and clarity. I work with individuals and couples who are seeking more fulfillment from life. My desire is that you become more fully who you are, and enjoy the life you have built.
I have worked as a therapist since 2007, after completing a Master's degree in counselling from ACTS of Trinity Western University. My training and experience in private and public settings makes me uniquely skilled at working with individuals, couples and youth to repair the damage of loneliness, disconnection and sadness.
Areas that I work with include:
- Depression, Anxiety and Panic
- Couples
- Parenting
- Family
- Self-esteem and personal growth
- Premarital counselling and relationship enrichment
- Transition and Adjustment
- Grief and loss
I believe that counselling must be client-centered, relying on collaboration between the therapist and client. My most common approaches for adults and adolescents are Emotion-focused and Satir, with integration of Cognitive, Behavioral and Family Systems approaches as appropriate. In my work with children, I rely on attachment theory and makes use of play therapy as well as behavioral and parenting interventions.
