Practice Information

Over more than 25 years of working with individuals, couples, and families, I have come to appreciate the complexity, courage, and possibility that accompany the many transitions of a woman's life. I believe each person has the capacity for growth, resilience, healing, and meaningful change, and I offer a warm, collaborative and respectful space to explore what may be getting in the way of living well and feeling more fully yourself.

My practice has a particular focus on **women navigating midlife**, including the physical, emotional, relational and psychological changes that can accompany perimenopause and menopause. I work with women experiencing hormonal transitions, changes in sexuality and intimacy, shifting identity, changing family roles, career transitions, grief and loss, relationship challenges, and questions about purpose and what comes next.

Clients may also seek counselling for anxiety, depression, trauma, chronic stress, emotional regulation, self-esteem, life transitions, or relationship difficulties. I work with women who may be struggling with a specific concern, as well as those who simply recognize that something has changed and want support in understanding and navigating that change.

My approach is **person-centred, trauma-informed, culturally responsive, collaborative and evidence-informed**. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and somatic approaches, integrating these according to each client's circumstances, goals and readiness. This may include exploring the connection between thoughts, emotions, physical sensations, nervous-system responses, and lived experience.
