Susan Baum is a Registerd Psychologist with the B.C. College of Psychologists and a member of the B.C. Psychological and Canadian Psychological Associations.

After receiving her M.A. and Ph.D. from UBC, she created strong relationships to community professional organizations; she served as President of the Western Canadian Psychodynamic Psychotherapy Association and currently sits on the Board; she is a supervising instructor for the Counselling Psychology program at UBC; she is an oral examiner and supervisor for the BCPA; she developed, instructed and mentored a SFU graduate diploma program focussing on cross cultural issues; and she works with a number of employee assistance programs.

In these capacities, she presents workshops on issues such as life transitions, cultural adjustment, and stress management. Working in the private and public sector for over 15 years, her private practice includes such areas as anxiety, PTSD, trauma, depression, self esteem, martial/relationship and family issues, and cross-cultural issues.

Susan uses a number of approaches to best suit the needs of clients maintaining a focus on the whole person. She provides both short and long term therapy.
