John Boland has been a counsellor/psychotherapist for 30 years and brings to his practice a wealth of experience in the areas of individual and couples therapy as well as many years working with children and youth. He has worked as a counsellor in schools, community agencies, and was on faculty for 10 years at Malapsina University College in Nanaimo. Presently he works solely in his private counselling practice in Vancouver.

As a Certified Imago Relationship Therapist, John is committed to helping couples put safety and passion back into their relationship. For many years he has helped individuals deal with trauma, stress, depression, anger management, and work-place conflict. He has advanced training in EMDR, as well as instruction from Dr. Jon Kabot-Zinn in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction. Supporting parents and working with families, children, and youth had always been a prime focus of his practice.

John is passionate about this work and dedicated to helping clients achieve a more fulfilling life. His respectful, warm, and professional approach along with his skill and knowledge make him an excellent choice for supporting individuals as they struggle with whatever challenge they are facing.
