I approach each session with the goal of creating a safe and inclusive space for all individuals. My approach to counselling is multicultural and feminist-informed. I take into account the unique needs of each individual, as well as the impacts of culture, race, gender, and socio-economic status. I strive to create an equitable environment, free from discrimination and oppression, where diversity and inclusion are celebrated.
I am particularly passionate about working with the queer community, women, and those in traditional and non-traditional relationship arrangements. I am also motivated by, and understand the importance of, helping clients achieve the right balance between work and life.
I believe one of the most important parts of the counselling process is relationship building. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space for my clients to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Through active listening and compassionate dialogue, I am able to provide guidance and support to help navigate life’s challenges.
I am naturally curious, open-minded, and empathetic. I have experienced my own challenges and struggles in life, which led me to counselling, and it is this experience that drives my passion to support others. I strive to create a strong therapeutic relationship with my clients, so they can feel heard, understood, and safe.
Individual Counselling
Individual counselling services can be a powerful and effective way of helping people cope with anxiety, depression, burnout, trauma, etc. As a counsellor, I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space for clients to explore their feelings, thoughts, and behaviours. I use evidence-based approaches such as person-centered practices, cognitive behavioural therapy, mindfulness, and psycho-education to help clients better understand the origin of their symptoms and develop new strategies for coping. My individual counselling services are tailored to the unique needs of each client and focus on helping them develop effective strategies for dealing with all life has to throw at them.
