If you're having sleep troubles, I offer and integrate behavioral sleep therapy into my practice as it can significantly improve your overall wellbeing, so you have the energy to focus on what matters most to you.
Therapy for sleep, or Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-i), is considered the most effective and clinically validated treatment for insomnia by medical organizations such as the Centre for Effective Practice and Ontario College of Family Physicians and American College of Physicians.
Healthy sleep is often overlooked when we talk about mental health, but when insomnia goes unresolved, it can have a significant impact on your health, increasing your risk of depression, anxiety, and high blood pressure.
Poor sleep also lowers your quality of life and has long-term impacts on your physical, emotional, and mental health, in addition to poorer performance and increased risk of injury and errors at work.
CBT-i can help you resolve your sleep problem so you can wake up with the energy and focus to perform your best. Some benefits of addressing your insomnia include:

With over a decade of experience as a social worker and therapist supporting people through day-to-day struggles to navigating complex mental health and addiction issues, if you're ready for change, I can help. I do my best to avoid jargon and will continually evaluate our work together with your feedback to ensure we are moving towards your goals. I also identify as a member of the LBGTQ+ community and welcome all genders and orientations in my diverse and affirming practice.
I offer a complimentary 20 minute consultation, either in-person at my Downtown Vancouver office or by phone, to answer any questions you may have about counselling, therapy, and working with me. I also offer secure online video therapy and messaging for clients across British Columbia and outreach-based counselling on case by case basis in the Lower Mainland.
- I am a Registered Social Worker (RSW) in good standing with the BC College of Social Workers and hold a Master's degree in Social Work.
