Sandy has a Masters in Counselling Psychology, is a Registered Clinical Counsellor, and an International Certified Alcohol and Drug Counsellor. She provides counselling services to individuals and couples through remote counselling via a secure end to end encrypted server that does does use third parties. She has training and skills to work within this medium and welcomes all questions via text, phone to email.
Sandy’s practice centers on issues arising out of addictions, emotional challenges, problematic behaviors and traumatic experiences. She assists individuals who are faced with challenges and obstacles that prevent them from living life well. Sandy provides a safe, inviting and non-judgmental approach where she works collaboratively works to break through problematic barriers and reconnect individuals with their strengths. At the center of her work is to explore alternate ways of thinking, behaving, and managing emotions. Her counselling strength is in helping individuals help themselves. Sandy believes clients come to therapy to reconnect with their authentic selves apart from the presenting challenges. Her goal is to assist individuals in taking the steps to build towards a fulfilling and satisfying life.
Sandy is authorized to provide counselling services for those who qualify for Crime Victim Assistance Program, Residential Historical Abuse Program and ICBC. She is also a trained practitioner in Adult Survivors of Childhood Trauma and Abuse.
