You have answers within you. Let's find them together.
Right now we are dealing with a lot: COVID-19, the ongoing and escalating police violence against Black and Indigenous peoples, as well as the ongoing racism against Asian and South Asian communities and Hispanic and Latin communities. In these times we need to find ways to support each other through the isolation, uncertainty and hardship. Sometimes we just need someone to sit down and talk things through with us. I am currently offering some affordable therapy through Open Path Psychotherapy Collective to make counselling as accessible as I can. I also offer sliding scale. I work with youth, families and adults to gently explore difficulties while affirming the ways people are already working towards their own healing. I'm a certified telehealth provider, offering online counselling by video, phone and text.
While I offer general counselling, I also focus on in the following areas: LGBTQIA2+ affirming therapy and working with trauma and anxiety in youth 12 to 24.

LGBTQIA2+ Affirming Therapy
It's important to find a counsellor you don’t have to teach. To find a place to be seen, celebrated and supported. We create a place to explore what safety can feel like, how good being fully yourself can feel.
Trauma and Anxiety in Youth
Working with trauma and anxiety starts with providing a safer, neutral place to explore feelings and to learn how to sit with big feelings so youth can use their innate wisdom to move through, and learn from, life's difficulties.
Counselling for Individuals
When our decisions and actions support our values, we strengthen our self-confidence and resilience. My main goal is to work with you to reveal your own wisdom so that you can make transformative choices from a solid base. We talk about what you want to talk about at your pace.
Counselling for Youth & Families
Working through strong feelings is possible! Empowering parents and youth to balance connection and boundaries helps defuse conflict. We build on the strengths of the family to create relationship change that is tailored to the family.
Online Counselling
Counselling by video, phone or text has been proven to be an effective alternative to in-person counselling. Online counselling is a good option for people who find offices stressful or intimidating, transportation is hard to get or our current pandemic. I use a secure, medical online platform.
About Me
As a non-binary person, I’ve had troubles finding counsellors who could understand and respect me without having to teach them how to treat me. Those experiences sparked a passion for providing affirmative therapy so people don’t feel like they have to struggle to be respected and understood. I'm a European settler who grew up in a working-class, rural community on Vancouver Island, BC. I am currently practicing in Duncan, BC. I provide online counselling throughout BC on the unceded traditional territory of the Coast Salish.
