Life can be messy, difficult, and complicated. (So much more that we expect!). Navigating this is tricky - human beings are complex individuals and we each face complex issues and challenges. Therapy offers a space to untangle your unique situation (while also building resilience and skills to respond to future challenges) so you can focus on living the life you want.
Building upon my corporate background collaborating with CEOs and Senior Managers, I specialize in navigate challenges between professional and personal worlds. This often arises in professional roles (but not exclusively) involving high -pressure, -demands, -achievement, or expectations of perfection.
My approach to counselling is flexible and person-centred. This means we will co-create a therapeutic experience that is unique to you and your individual needs - it may include a blend of trauma-informed, narrative, strength-based, somatic / mind-body and existential based styles. I also draw upon my background as a psychologist (UK) and yoga practitioner.
Originating from the UK, I have an authentic, warm, and down-to-earth direct kind of style. While of course there are times to be serious in counselling, I also invite a playful and curious tone into sessions at times to support a spirit of exploration. Yes, therapy can be hard and difficult, but at times it can also be joyous, illuminating and spectacular. Ultimately I hope to support you in a therapeutic journey from a place of surviving to thriving in your daily life.
These words by Lao-Tsu stick in my mind when thinking of the change that can come from counselling:
“A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step.”
Finding the right fit is such an important part of creating a positive therapeutic experience - I offer a free 15 minute consultation for all new clients for us to "virtually" meet and discuss any questions you may have. Please email me or follow the link to book.
