I enjoy working with a diversity of clients and/or their family members who are have both mental health and substance use issues, including trauma and PTSD, depression, anxiety, substance or behavioral addictions, life transitions (loss, relationships, career), and mental suffering and distress.
I've worked in mental health and addictions for the past 25 years including concurrent disorders, HIV/AIDS, inpatient psychiatry, DTES, leadership, palliative care, and operational stress injuries. My approach is down-to-earth, collaborative, and empathic. I support change through: • Enhancing Awareness and Motivation • Developing Self Worth and Resiliency.
Leonard Cohen sang "There's a crack in everything. That's how the light gets in". Sometimes it is difficult to let go of the past or to feel secure in the future. We all struggle with our own selves for many reasons. I believe we can grow through the cracks to become more accepting and resilient.
