About Art Therapy
Using art as a part of therapeutic work can allow us access to our inner experiences that can be at times, difficult to express and make sense of. Art is a way of getting past our verbal limitations and tapping into the deeper well of our emotional wisdom. The creative act of self expression is an empowering tool. Often feelings, memories and sensations emerging in the art work can increase resilience, build self esteem, release pain and increase self awareness.
Nathalia has developed an expertise working with children and adults dealing with trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, relationships issues, self esteem, body image, parenting challenges, anger management, boundaries and sexual health.
She has trained with the Connect Parenting Program providing psycho-education to first time families and support to women coping with struggles and challenges of being a mother. She offers children and parents family wellness and attachment-based strategies. She will walk with you on your journey of self-discovery, and together we will uncover your unique strengths, develop coping skills, increase self-confidence, and work toward restoring balance in your life.
Nathalia is also trained in a variety of body work techniques which she uniquely combines and calls Integrative Therapeutics. These services do not fall under her scope as a counsellor and are offered as their own separate service.
