Michael focuses his practice working in trauma therapy (PTSD), career counselling and coaching, group training & education, couples/relationship, LGBTQ2+ sexual/gender diverse communities, and complex life transitions. Although those are his specialties, he has grown his trauma-informed approach to work with most personal life issues that get in the way of healthy living and thriving. As an integrated therapist he draws on many interventions (EMDR, CBT, etc) from an experiential perspective that connects both mind and body in the healing process. Using evidence-based interventions for known issues, and following a strength-based approach with clients, he adjusts and works with the client to ensure a good match for better success. Michael is invested in providing you an experience designed uniquely for you and allowing an ability to create a complimentary plan to achieve your desired results. Highly experienced in PTSD/trauma therapy, couples/relationships, LGBTQ2+, military culture, career counselling and Men's Issues, he bring his integrated approach combining counselling with education to provide the greatest chance of success. His specialization in transition issues throughout all areas of life challenges allows for a more holistic healing process, that is more robust and has a higher liklihood of teaching techniques that will help with future problems. The focus is to help you help yourself in the future to the best of his ability.
He currently offers online and limited in-person psychological counselling and support throughout BC and Alberta. There is currently a waitlist to begin counselling.
