I believe my role as a Registered Clinical Counsellor and Professional Art Therapist is to work hard at understanding where a person has come from and how they relate to others in their life, so that I can provide a genuine relationship that will foster growth and change over time.
I help people learn how to shift what they are believing, thinking, feeling and doing so that they can leave therapy moving forward in life under their own momentum and with their own sense of meaning, purpose, and motivation.
I have over 13 years of experience working with adolescents, adults, and families in a variety of settings including community counselling, adult mental health, and inpatient psychiatry. I have experience and training working with gender identity and sexuality, I am an approved First Nations Health Authority provider and have grown up in a mixed-race culturally diverse family, which allows me to feel very comfortable working with any culture or ethnicity.
I am a product of private school and very much understand the struggles and pressures this can create. I have played multiple sports in my life but eventually focused on rugby and 22 years later, I am still playing. I have multiple tattoos that hold special meaning for me and will likely end up having a few more. I am told that I am a very genuine and transparent person; what you see, is what you get.
Call for a 20 minute consultation at no charge and see if what I can provide is right for you.
