Humans are amazing, complex beings. Life is messy. I am prepared to talk about all of it. Often the conversations I am engaged in with folks include topics of trauma, abuse, colonial violence, sexual assault, and suicidal thoughts. My practice draws upon the power of stories to help liberate people from Guilt, Shame, Anxiety, and Fear. Stories to better connect to what matters to them, their hopes, relationships, and the world around them. I use the practice of writing therapeutic documents as a way to reflect back to clients the stories that empower and set them free from the problems that limit them. Clients find these documents helpful to amplify their voice, give them something to go back between sessions, and to give us something to build on the next time we meet.
The client's values, knowledge, and experiences are honoured and respected in this space. I impose no agenda for healing and work together with clients to find the path that makes most sense to them. My work is carried out in the spirit of Dignity, Social Justice, Creativity, and Curiosity.
I am a registered provider with:
- First Nations Health Authority
- Crime Victim Assistance Program
- Interim Federal Health Program
- Veterans Affairs Canada
- Canadian Armed Forces
