I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) working with a wide range of clients including children, youth, adults, older adults and couples at the Vancouver Psychology Centre.
Every person is unique, possesses unique strengths, and faces unique challenges and counselling can benefit anyone. There is no “one size fits all” approach to counselling, which is why I focus on getting to know my clients and work collaboratively and creatively to discover what works for them. Clients will leave with new tools and strategies for relaxation, communication, relationship satisfaction, stress management, mood elevation, and managing many other challenges. Learning to use these tools will lead to positive change in every aspect of life.
Whether you’re experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, or feeling stuck, counselling can help you discover solutions and feel more joy in your life. Given the opportunity to look at your challenges in different ways, you will begin to approach them with new understanding.
I work with clients experiencing:
Contacting a counsellor for the first time can be stressful, which is why I offer an initial phone intake to introduce myself and answer any questions you may have. I believe that much of the benefit from counselling comes from the supportive, empathetic relationship, which requires fit between counsellor and client. I encourage new clients to use our phone intake to ask questions, and get to know me to see if they feel we may be a good fit.
