As an associate counsellor with Allison Rice Therapy & Associates, I specialize in sports performance enhancement, personal growth, relationship concerns, coping with pressure, and student and/or professional burnout.
In our time together, I will support you in exploring your core values and strengths as you develop purposeful and practical actions to help you move forward in your life. My approach is person-centered, meaning I draw from a variety of therapeutic orientations to best support your unique experiences and needs. Mindfulness-based therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and solution focused therapy are some of the modalities you might encounter when we work together. I believe that through curious and compassionate self-reflection, (rather than with judgement and criticism), you can begin to strengthen your relationship with yourself, with others, and live in a way that is in alignment with your values and goals.
I recognize the courage it may take to seek counselling and am honored to work alongside you as you seek personal growth and fulfillment.
I am also a Mental Performance Consultant (provisional), and work with high performance athletes to support their development of mental skills and strategies that can be applied to sport performance settings and in life.
