Jenn is fortunate to have the opportunity to actively listen to people's narratives and apply her skills of cognitive restructuring and behavioural interventions in a solution focused format that can help people to more actively achieve their goals with greater awareness, compassion and kindness. (That is really just a more technical way of stating that I help people with experiences that they have had or will have, and ultimately work with them feel better about it; whatever the issue may be!)
She currently works with insurance companies in Toronto and Vancouver, the Crime Victim Assistance Program, ICBC, and Vancouver law firms, couples, individuals, new mothers, those wanting to be mothers, and many individuals who feel "at a loss" or who are going through grief. Many clients use their Extended Health Benefits for sessions targeting any concern that they have from relationships, to managing an illness or symptoms, to working towards career goals.
She has been working in the rehabilitation and counselling field for close to 10 years. Through engaging rapport building and evidenced based interventions, she has been able to help her clients participate meaningfully in their lives and in society after experiencing accidents, injuries, illnesses, set backs and difficulties.
She works with people who have diagnoses or have experienced a traumatic event, and also people who just want some help managing some modern-day life stress.
This is Jenn's passion; She has sought treatment for "tough stuff" too and knows what helps, how to be present for you, and how to help you manage and progress in your life so that you can feel better! She believes in what she does and is ever grateful for all of her clients to took those courageous steps to treatment and in treatment to reach their goals of living the life that they knew they deserved, but just needed some help to get there.
