Welcome! The idea of seeking out counselling can be a daunting prospect for many clients. It can be difficult to open yourself up to a person you’ve never met before, and discuss issues that may be painful or sensitive in nature for you. In my practice, I strongly believe that my clients are the experts in their own lives. I aim to create a warm, judgment-free environment where clients may feel safe to explore their thoughts, feelings, memories, relationships, and behaviours more deeply and authentically, with the overall goal in mind of creating lasting change for a more balanced and resourceful life. My goal as a therapist is to work alongside my clients and support them in managing, resolving, or accepting their concerns, and to help them to live a more fulfilling and resourceful life.
I have experience working with clients from many different walks of life, with specific experience and training in perinatal mental health, mood disorders, and stress management. I hold a PMH-C specialty, which certifies me in supporting clients struggling perinatal mental health (including fertility challenges, mental health concerns during pregnancy, and in 12-24 months following delivery).
Having encountered various struggles in my own life, I am acutely aware of the impact of mental wellness concerns on my clients. I am constantly inspired by the courage they show in seeking counselling and pursuing personal growth and change in their lives. If you would like support in leading a more satisfying life, please consider reaching out.
