Are life circumstances causing you to feel stuck? Exhausted? Are you struggling to live your best life? We can often find ourselves trapped in negative situations and thinking patterns, which lead to exhaustion, burnout, depression, and even suicidal ideation. This is especially true in times of life transitions, such as school, new relationships, separation, parenthood, career, etc. My passion for therapy and mental wellness emerges from own past struggles, that were greatly helped by personal counselling and self-care. As a counsellor and educator, my therapeutic approach revolves around providing a nurturing environment to promote resilience and a growth mindset. I offer approaches such as CBT, ACT, Bowen Family Systems, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, SFBT, Gestalt Therapy, Client Centered, Online/Video counselling and Mindfulness based therapies. My personal and professional experience has proven that a connection with the right therapist can offer hope and opportunities for personal growth. I would be honoured to help you in your journey to a more balanced and fulfilling life. You can book a FREE 15 minute phone consultation at the following link: https://inder-kauldher.janeapp.com/

I earned my Bachelor of Arts from Simon Fraser University, and then continued to earn my Bachelor of Education from the University of British Columbia. I started teaching middle and secondary school upon the completion of my studies. My passion for counselling grew during this time, as I often found myself witnessing youth in crisis. I achieved my Master of Counselling degree from City University of Seattle.
I completed an extensive clinical practicum at Child and Youth Mental Health, at the MCFD. I have experience in counselling youth, family therapy, and group therapy. I am also a secondary school counsellor. My passion for counselling, psychology and education continuously drives me to keep learning and stay current in this line of work.
My graduate studies were a tumultuous time in my life, as I was trying to balance a full-time job, part-time studies, a new marriage, and eventually pregnancy. I was simultaneously experiencing many new roles and expectations—often a burden that was crippling to my mental health. This transition period proved to be one filled with stress, anxiety, and I was headed for burnout. I sought out personal counselling, and it was through a journey of therapy and self-care that I regained enough of a life balance to prioritize all that was on my plate. It was not easy. Every day I had to make the choice to move forward, or at least forgive myself for digressing, and embrace that as part of the journey. It was also during this time that I decided to change my area of research to the topics of burnout, compassion fatigue, and vicarious trauma. I sought this opportunity to research this phenomenon so that I could better understand it, and to find strategies to counter or reduce its effects.
