I am Hossein Haji Ghafari.

With extensive experience in psychotherapy for adults, children, and adolescents, I am dedicated to helping individuals navigate their emotional and psychological challenges. My professional journey includes a focus on immigration issues, where I have provided counseling to Iranian and Afghan immigrants.

I firmly believe that connecting in one’s mother tongue is essential to truly understanding the depths of a patient’s psyche. This collaborative process between client and therapist is fundamental to effective treatment.

I hold a degree in counseling and have completed advanced psychoanalysis courses with esteemed professionals in the field. In 2022, I conducted comprehensive research on the impact of immigration on the academic performance of immigrant students, further enhancing my understanding of the unique challenges faced by this population.

To effectively support teenagers, I prioritize understanding their cultural context and social interactions. Engaging with youth in both real and virtual environments allows me to hear their voices and better inform my therapeutic approach. I also recognize the crucial role parents play in this journey, often needing to reassess their own paths to support their children.
