Are you feeling stressed, irritable or low? Are you struggling with anxiety or panic? Perhaps you are feeling down, discouraged, frustrated or depressed; or maybe there is a specific issue that you are facing, and looking for support to cope with. Are you looking for better ways to manage conflict. Perhaps you are longing for more understanding and more meaningful connections in your relationships or with your partner, family members, friends.
Beyond the usual challenges of life, many people now face unique additional struggles during COVID-19. How are you coping? Life is complex, with many uncertainties.
In the face of struggles, you do not have to be on this journey alone.
I listen, support, and use active therapeutic strategies to help people manage their struggles, and to improve their well being.
With a warm, relational style, and my focus on building a strong therapeutic relationship, I work to help people to help develop skills for coping. I support people to navigate life difficulties, and I also help them grow their internal capacities for self-care, self-compassion. I enjoy encouraging people to build meaning, purpose, and health into their lives, on their journey towards greater emotional and relationship health.
As a Registered Psychologist (CPBC #1462) and a trained professional for 20 years, I help people with a range of life issues, including every day life problems, stress, anxiety, panic, relationship issues, depression, grief/loss, couples' issues.
Many people choose a Psychologists because we are trained extensively, with a background of education and experience that can help people deal with many aspects of life. Trained in human psychology, psychologists are well equipped to work with many life issues, along with the many complicated thoughts, emotions, relationships, and important mind/body connections and behaviors that are part of being human. Many people choose a psychologist because of their depth of knowledge and experience, and their training as professionals.
I am a Registered Psychologist (CPBC #1462) with a doctorate in Clinical Psychology. I work with adults and older teens.
