Hello! My name is Elizabeth Medina, I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BCACC, and I hold a master’s degree in Counselling Psychology. I am currently working at Skylark Counselling Clinic in Downtown Vancouver, where I offer online and in-person sessions.

I have worked with clients of all ages, and in different settings including a children's hospital, elementary schools and kindergartens, a non-profit organization, and private practice. I offer a client-centered, multicultural approach to counselling, where social justice plays an important role when tackling systemic issues that affect an individual. I consider myself a witness and companion of my clients in their own journey. If you are going through a life transition, dealing with grief, or overwhelming emotions, or just want space to explore who you are and discover what moves you, I am happy to be there for you.

I work from an integrative approach, where I combine elements of different counselling theories to create a personalized therapy for my clients. My style as a counsellor is gentle, honest, respectful, and trauma informed. I consider my clients to be the experts of their lives, which puts me on the passenger seat, where I can observe, offer interventions, and invite them to take different directions, but ultimately, they are the ones in control.
