Dave is a counsellor for Manifest Wellness a men's mental health clinic. Through his counselling work at Manifest he aims to destigmatize mental health support for men, and increasing access to counselling.
Dave Lige holds a master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and a Bachelor of Human Kinetics from the University of British Columbia. Specializing in CBT, Dave has positively impacted clients through a value and strengths-based approach that leads to increased levels of health and well-being.
Having worked for the past 15 years in the areas of counselling therapy, sports psychology, group facilitation, personal training and leadership development, Dave has blended his experience and education to develop an approach that is relatable, empowering and normalizes the counselling experience for men who want change.
Utilizing a dynamic educational model that focuses on client-based exercises that encourage self-reflection and engagement, Dave helps men develop the framework and skill sets necessary for tangible results. Simply stated, we are motivated from our core beliefs and emotions and understanding these concepts can be invigorating and empowering!
