Practice information:

I work with people who are ready to push the boundaries of “normal” to uncover & deconstruct the root causes of their suffering. Many of the clients that I work with are dealing with major depression, anxiety, grief, relationship issues, and overall frustration with the current state of our society and environment. They often experience symptoms such as feeling blocked, overwhelmed, anxious, depressed, alone, and powerless in their life. I support clients to transform their pain into strength so that they can live a more fulfilled life.

Psychedelic integration therapy has been my area of professional specialty since 2018 & has been part of my personal journey since 2001. My practice philosophy is that each person has a natural, infinite inner strength that transforms their pain & supports their physical, mental & spiritual health. Negative life events cause this to become blocked which leads to dissatisfaction & dis-ease. I empower clients to re-connect with their inner strength and resilience so that they can live a more fulfilled, authentic life.

Over the past 17 years I have worked with people in many areas of mental health. About seven years ago I began to directly focus my energy on mental health & psychedelic integration counselling.

Although my original career goal was to broadly improve mental health treatment & policy through research, I quickly realized that I needed to do more than study people who suffered. My heart repeatedly told me that I needed to connect with people in a more relational, supportive way - and that through this type of connection I would make a positive difference in both the lives of others and my self. As a result, I became immersed in training in anti-oppressive, compassionate counselling practices & psychedelic integration.

From there it all began to make more sense. I started to see that disconnection from our selves, others, & nature is the root of many states of suffering, and that re-connection is the antidote.

This idea that “dis-connection” leads to “dis-ease” is now a foundational piece of my personal & professional philosophy.
