It’s unbearable. You can’t keep going on like this. It’s hard to get out of bed in the morning. You feel numb. Joy, happiness, and pleasure are so alien to you. It’s exhausting –constantly worrying, constantly being on guard. Constantly watching what you say and do. Never really getting the chance to just be yourself. You feel judged by others. It’s like there is a weight holding your body down. A deep heaviness that you just can’t get rid of. A sense of dread that never seems to leave. It hurts so much that you don’t even remember what it was like before the pain. There are some things that you do to help the pain, maybe turning to food, alcohol, sex, or others. But it’s like you are trying to fill this void that no matter you do, it cannot simply be filled. You’ve tried. You feel alone and isolated. No one gets you. No one can even come close to understanding what it’s like to be in your shoes. It’s not safe to be yourself around others. You feel anxious. Sad. Depressed. Stressed. Angry. Lonely. Hurt. Abandoned. Alone. Miserable. Drained. You feel like no matter where you go or what you do, your past is right there, following you. No one seems to care. No one understands. You feel alone.
You want relief. You want the suffering to stop. For the pain to disappear. You want to feel again. You want to be happy, to experience joy. You want to be able to love again. You want to be able to get up in the morning, and get through your day energized and refreshed. You want self-confidence. You want the courage to be yourself, your true, genuine, authentic self. You want others to see you for you, and to accept you. You want to feel a sense of belonging, like you have a place in this world. You want someone who understands you. Someone who believes in you. Someone who accepts you and who hears you. You want the tools to move forward with your life. You want to live the best version of your life that you can. You want to be in control and in charge of your life. You want change.
I hear you. You are not alone. I can help.
