Feeling confused, vulnerable, as though life is becoming unmanageable? Perhaps you are holding on to the effects of past hurts or trauma, or you are needing support through a life transition. Do you want to learn more effective ways of dealing with anxiety, depression, or the heal from the effects of traumatic experiences? When you feel stuck, anxious, or confused, it can be helpful to have someone come alongside you to help find your way, reconnect with your inner strength, and get your feet back on the ground. You do not need to face life's challenges alone.
My approach comes from more than ten years in the counselling field, cultivating a person-centered, strength-based therapeutic approach. In collaboration with my clients, I bring elements of body-centered awareness, narrative, client focused approaches to provide a space of healing, and growth. I have specialized training in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (Level 1), a body-focused therapy frequently used to process and resolve trauma experiences. I am also an approve provider for the Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP). I seek to empower each person to better understand themselves and their unique capacities to live an authentic life. I believe counselling is a collaborative journey of exploration and healing, driven by the client and their personal goals. In this journey, I am honoured to come alongside, without judgment, in a space of safety and compassion.
I am conveniently located in Downtown Vancouver and Kitsilano, and have both daytime and evening appointment times available.
