It takes courage to reach out for support and to picture yourself sharing personal thoughts and concerns with a stranger. Knowing this, my priority is to create a safe, confidential and respectful space within which we can work together to identify and resolve current issues you are dealing with. As an Industrial/Organizational Psychologist I specialize in providing support with workplace related issues, but provide support across all areas of life. The types of issues I provide support with include: stress, burnout, low motivation, performance anxiety, career assessment, interpersonal conflict, bullying, relationship challenges, anxiety, mood disturbances, behavioral difficulties, and sleep difficulties.
My approach combines evidence-based theory and practice with practical strategies you can start implementing straight away. The paradigms I draw from include CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Coaching, MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction) and Solution Focused Therapy.
As a certified third-party mediator, I regularly provide interpersonal conflict resolution, which can take the form of individual coaching and/or a mediated session between two or more parties in conflict.
I spent the first five years of my career as an Army Psychologist with the New Zealand Defense Force where I had the opportunity first hand to witness the resiliency of the human spirit. This belief in every individual's ability to meet and rise above life's challenges is something I continue to bring into every session and that guides my practice. In the twelve years I have been living and working in Vancouver I have had the privilege of working with people from a diverse range of different backgrounds, ethnicities, and cultures, and I welcome individuals from all walks of life into my practice.
I am a Registered Psychologist in BC and New Zealand and have been in practice for 16 years. As part of my ongoing learning and development I am currently enrolled in a doctorate program.
My office is located in Downtown Vancouver and my office hours are 8am-4pm.
I offer a sliding scale for those without benefits and limited financial means.
Client fee individuals:$180 p/hr
Client fee couples/families:$180 p/hr
