Hello! My name is Angela Pattria and I'm a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BCACC with a Master's of Art's in Counselling Psychology. Presently, I joined the counselling team at Skylark Counselling Clinic in Downtown Vancouver, where I offer in person and online counselling. 

I have had the opportunity to work with people of different ages, demographics to support individual needs. Most recently, I have been working in the addictions sector in treatment centers as a counsellor and individual support worker. In addition, I am community based mental health worker, supporting individual with psychiatric disorders through Psychosocial Rehabilitation. Prior to entering the mental health sector, I worked in the education system as a School Age Assistant, providing educational and recreational based support. I have worked with children and youth with developmental disabilities in supporting them with their learning of life skills. Furthermore, I was a Program Coordinator for a settlement based non-profit agency. I developed and facilitated sports and education-based programs to promote a supportive transition for new immigrant youth and young adults.

Through the journey of discovering, I recognize the importance of identify, culture and its influence on self and finding a place in society.  This process can be enriching and fulfilling through embracing our unique roots which become pivotal in our journey through life, career, and personal relationships.  My professional experiences have shown me the uniqueness of every individual and their story. I offer an environment of support, empathy, and free of judgment or ridicule.
