I am a Registered Clinical Counselor (RCC) with 10 years of experience in working with anxiety, depression, addictions, relationship struggles, family and social issues regarding race, culture, religion and identity, women who are victims of sexual trauma or abuse, and individuals struggling to define their life purpose.
I seek to create a safe and warm therapeutic environment for you to explore the unique challenges that you are confronting.
My goal is to assist you to deepen your self-awareness, self-compassion, and liberate yourself from painful cycles.
My therapeutic practice is mindfulness based, trauma informed, client centered and empowerment driven.
I am informed by attachment theory and believe that relationships are a corner stone to our wellness.
When we go through relationship struggles, heartbreaks, separation, loss of friendships/family members/pets, our pain can be so tangible that having someone supportive and compassionate to walk on that journey with you is so important.
Helping you feel the feelings deeply, process through, and use your emotions as an opportunity to learn, grow, and evolve as human, is what I aim for in our work together.
I seek to work with you to develop an awareness of lifelong patterns that inform your present day situations, emotions, responses, and choices so that you feel free enough to consciously choose your life.
I use a combination of modalities and tools that I have been studying clinically and through personal interest for 15 years.
I believe in taking a direct and engaging approach in my practice.
I have specialized training in recognizing intersectional experiences of trauma that include gender, race and identity, and seeks to provide support around navigating power dynamics within work, family, dating, sexual, and other kinds of relationships. Please see website for more in depth information on about myself and my practice.
