I am a registered clinical counsellor and registered dietitian focusing on the treatment of eating disorders, emotional eating, and generally helping clients to improve their relationship with food.
Clients come to me to improve their health, body image and self-esteem. I also help people explore how difficult life experiences and underlying feelings affect their present eating and exercise patterns. We may discuss the pros and cons of making changes before you feel ready to set goals. Goals are based on your individual needs and you are in control of the pace of change.
If you're feeling "stuck" making changes to your eating or exercise, if you're aware that your problems with eating (or not eating) are more than just about food, or if you're hard on yourself when changes are difficult to sustain, therapy or nutrition counselling may be helpful.
My clients find me warm, compassionate, patient and knowledgeable. Though 2014 was my first year in private practice, I have 15 years' experience as a dietitian and 4 years' experience as a counsellor in an eating disorder treatment centre. Please see my website for more information about my work.
Please note that my practice is currently full, and unfortunately I'm currently not able to take new clients.
