The underlying belief of Imago Relationship Therapy is that we are wounded in relationship and we are healed in relationship. It maintains that childhood experiences form an unconscious image or Imago that plays a powerful role in the partner selection process. Through this modality, Diana helps couples become conscious of the unmet needs they had while growing up that influence their patterns of behaviour and perception. Diana teaches and facilitates couples through the Imago dialogue. The dialogue is a process, which makes it easier to understand one’s partner without feeling threatened or under attack. It is with this new understanding, one can learn to ‘stretch’ to provide what his or her partner needs while continuing on the path of personal growth.
