Practice information:
As a Registered Clinical Counsellor since 2006, I have been providing supportive psychotherapy to a diverse group of individuals in variety of settings: post secondary, residential addiction treatment, public health care in community and hospital, as well as private practice. I have training and interest in several therapeutic modalities such as mindfulness-based and somatic approaches, cognitive and dialectical behavioral therapies, and emotion-focused therapies. My specialty is helping to heal the effects of traumatic events, developmental trauma, and attachment wounds. I bring competence, warmth, and lightness to the role.
My approach is non-pathologizing, flexible, and collaborative. Clients come to me with a variety of concerns related to mood, anxiety and stress, relationship challenges and dissatisfaction. Therapy helps us to move past distractions, expectations, and assumptions to become clear about ourselves, our struggles, and the changes we need to make. I am skilled at helping people slow down and tune in to better understand themselves and the situations that bring them to therapy. Benefiting from the therapeutic relationship and exploring effective strategies, together we can support insight, healing, and growth. I can help you find your way.
If this sounds of interest to you, please email me to request a free 15-minute consultation. I would be happy to discuss working together.
