Practice Information
I am Megan (she/they), a Registered Clinical Counsellor and Canadian Certified Counsellor offering specialized EMDR therapy and integrative counselling for individuals, couples, families, and people in relationships of all kinds. I work online across BC and in person in Vancouver.
EMDR is at the heart of everything I do. Whether you are working through something on your own, with a partner, or as a family, EMDR helps the nervous system process what has felt impossible to move through so the past stops running the present. I integrate EMDR alongside AEDP, parts work, narrative therapy, and somatic approaches, always adapting the work to fit you rather than expecting you to fit a model. Therapy with me is one size fits one.
People come to me for many different reasons. You might recognize yourself in some of these:
- You feel emotionally exhausted in ways that are hard to explain
- You are stuck in the same patterns no matter how hard you try to change them
- You understand your reactions intellectually but still cannot stop them
- Your nervous system feels constantly on, like you are always waiting for something to go wrong
- You people-please compulsively, overthink conversations, or monitor everyone around you
- You shut down during conflict or cannot stop replaying it afterward
- You feel too much, or strangely nothing at all
- You have done therapy before and still feel stuck
- You are caught in conflict cycles in your relationship or family that never fully resolve
- You feel disconnected from people you love and do not know how to find your way back
I work with adults, youth, couples, and families navigating trauma and PTSD, complex and childhood trauma, anxiety and hypervigilance, shame and self-worth, people pleasing and emotional exhaustion, grief and loss, burnout, identity exploration, life transitions, relationship patterns, communication breakdown, and family conflict. I also offer specialized support for first responders and people navigating fertility challenges, pregnancy loss, and the perinatal period.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent a decade in victim services and as a coroner. That work, and my own experience of healing through EMDR, is why I trust this approach as deeply as I do.
Therapy with me is warm, collaborative, and genuinely human. We move at your pace, co-create the process together, and you are always in the driver's seat. All identities, relationship structures, and ways of being are genuinely welcome here.
If you are curious about whether we might be a good fit, I would be honoured to connect.
