Vicky has over thirty years experience working with children, youth and families. She has been working in the field since 1982 when she began as a family support worker. Vicky has continued to work with children, youth and families and she brings with her years of experience, considerable knowledge and a compassionate approach.
Vicky is registered with the British Columbia Association of Social Workers, Registration #1005295 and holds a Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW).
Vicky's approach to counselling is genuine, supportive and caring. She does not believe that the therapist is the expert. Rather she believes each of us are the experts on who we are and what we want to be and how to work towards change. She understands how each day can bring challenges for all of us and how at times these challenges can take hold and become overwhelming. These challenges can create a sense of defeat, a feeling of having nowhere to turn. Discovering ways to move through these difficult times and to begin a process of transition is her focus, working together to bring about change that is supportive, beneficial and transformational.
