Are you experiencing struggles in your daily life because of a physical or mental health issue? Are you experiencing a cascade of effects because of a major life event, change in a relationship, new or chronic illness, or change in a life role? Are you feeling uncertainty about the future? Are you feeling a sense of hopelessness, grief, loss, anxiety, low motivation or low mood? We often feel lost and alone in our struggles. Let’s work together! Take a journey with me to the life that you want.
Each person and experience is unique and offers unique possibilities. I enjoy working with people from all walks of life and with all kinds of concerns, issues, disabilities, and abilities. I believe that all people have the capacity to cultivate their inner strengths and to empower themselves to lead life to the fullest. I have had the opportunity to work with individuals with a diverse range of issues such as grief, loss, anxiety, changes in mood, emotional dysregulation, and changes in life roles. Additionally, I have explored with individuals their strengths, passions, and desires.
In my practice, I provide individual and group therapy. My over-riding theoretical orientation is humanistic/person-centered, but in my practice, I utilize a range of theories and techniques to best suit you during the therapy session. These might include Mindfulness-Based Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Emotionally-Focussed Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, and Trauma-Informed Therapy. I have completed specific training and professional development courses in all the therapeutic modalities that I use. I hold a Master of Education in Counselling Psychology from the University of British Columbia. I am a member of the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors and the College of Occupational Therapist of BC. It has been an honour and privilege for me to join clients in their life journey.
