Dr. Allanach is a Canadian Certified Counsellor who sees clients at his office in New Westminster.

Ron looks forward to working with folks who may be struggling with inner conflicts, fears, anxiety or confusion caused by thoughts or events which we all may experience at sometime during our lives.

Ron cannot "fix" or "solve" issues and resulting feelings that people have, but rather he can be a supporting and kind guide. He can assist with warm patience without judgement as one struggles with issues and feelings. He can provide understanding and order to what is happening in one's life, to bring peace and acceptance as the path and direction become clear.

Ron has served individuals and families in different roles for over 35 years since receiving his MA in Counselling Psychology in 1982. He received his Ed.D. in Leadership and Organization with a specialty in adolescent behaviour and discipline in 2003.. Ron also holds a Masters of Public Policy and Management, a certificate in mediation, and a Certificate in Addictions and Substance Abuse Counselling. Ron brings years of varied experience as a father with two 20-something sons, from juvenile youth officer, police detective handling out of control teens, complex sexual abuse and child cases and domestic violence, to Police Chief working with police officers under stress, school administrator with a specialty in special education and student behaviour, college professor, and Dean of Student Services at a large multi-cultural high school.

Today in addition to private practice, Ron serves as a counsellor with the  New Westminster Schools. Ron brings to the counselling experience, both intellectual and real life perspectives. His respect for human beings, a quiet demeanor, and non-judgemental approach puts even the most anxious at ease.
