My practice is based on my belief of human potential for healing and growth. I have specialized training in helping people change life-long patterns of self-destruction which is usually a result of chronic accumulative trauma and traumatic experiences that have been passed down through generations. From this perspective, I have successfully helped people coping with loss & grief, workplace conflict/stress, depression, anxiety, poor self image, family conflict, and couples relationship issues. Intuitive, honest, and heart-centered best describe my style. The current approaches I take include family systemic constellations, narrative therapy, family therapy, guided relaxation/ meditation and energy healing.
I see that people often repeat or act out patterns, beliefs and scenarios from their family, sometimes goes on for generations. Without awareness of what, why and how, they often re-experience the same difficulties over and over and start to develop a sense of stuckness and futility. This often happens to intelligent, hard-working and good-natured people (just like you and me). However, despite how intelligent we are in general and how successful in other areas of our life, if we don't know what is holding us back we often get tripped over at the same place. Some people start getting mad at themselves, and some doubt there is something "fundamentally wrong" with them. Others try very hard to learn new skills, but somehow don't end up using their skills and knowledge to make better decisions. No matter how frustrated you feel now, I can help you see beyond isolated events and individual circumstances, and "get the dots connected." My experience has been that when people see the entanglement and the role they play in a bigger picture, they can break free from those patterns and beliefs, and make meaningful choices for themselves.
I work a lot with people who hold false beliefs about themselves and their family, i.e. I am stupid, I am a failure, my parents are messed up therefore I am also messed up, I've been hurt therefore I can never trust anyone, etc. I use various approaches depending on who you are and how you are with me. These approaches can include energy healing to relax your body and mind and release the survival energy that was locked in your system, cognitive behavioural therapy to challenge your irrational beliefs, family therapy to help you see yourself as part of your family system, or narrative therapy to help you examine the "told story" and support you to become the author of your own life story. I aim to empower you and to access all the strength and resources you have but may not be aware.
