I am passionate and excited about the relationships people have with themselves and with others. As a Registered Clinical Counsellor (#3732) I work hard to help people get at the root of what is causing their painful relationships with others or self and help them create healthy new patterns of relating. Using emotionally focused, person centered therapy, I help couples and those struggling with disordered eating make changes in their lives and their relationships so that they can lead the fulfilling satisfied lives that they desire.
In my work with Couples I use a multidisciplinary, personalized approach that looks at the cycles and dynamics that take place in the couples relations. I emphasize developing healthy personal and interpersonal goals using a step-by-step process that allows couples to recognize, and therefore celebrate, the changes they have made. I am dedicated to helping couples create healthy lasting change in themselves and in their relationship so that they can be successful in all areas of their relational and professional lives.
In my work with Disordered Eating clients I focus on getting at the emotions that are fueling a person’s eating pattern. Together, the client and I work on building a positive self-concept that will transform the client’s relationship to food and their relationship to self. Using my training in Intensive Short Term Dynamic Psychotherapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy and Crisis Intervention and Suicide Prevention, I help people feel safe, secure and confident so that they can take the first steps towards a healthier, happier tomorrow.
I offer a Free 10 minute no-obligation phone consultation to help people get an understanding of how I can help.
