Kristine Nordahl has a Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology from the Adler School of Professional Psychology. She has worked with youth, adults, and families for the past ten years through private practice, outreach services, and Youth Forensic Psychiatric Services. She is a Registered Clinical Counsellor who sees clients in the Langley area. She primarily works with adults and teenagers who are struggling with depression, anxiety, disordered eating, addiction issues, stress management and grief and loss.
Kristine is trained in various forms of therapy including Adlerian, Cognitive, Systemic, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy for distress tolerance and emotional regulation. She prefers to utilize the knowledge she has gained from the various forms of therapy when working with a client, rather than using one strict approach. She finds this combination of therapeutic approaches to be the most successful for her clients.
If you are struggling with emotions that are interfering with your quality of life, unsure of the source of your feelings, or would like to make a change for the better, a counsellor is a great place to start, however one must be prepared to do the work involved for best results. Facing difficult times in our lives can be a daunting task, especially when you are on your own. Kristine can guide you through the challenges of making permanent change by uncovering the strength and courage you already have, thus equipping you with the ability to overcoming such difficulties later on in life. If you are struggling, feel alone, hopeless, or at a complete loss as to what to do, you do not need to go it alone.
