Jane, a Registered Clinical Counsellor (#0828), is a Certified EMDR therapist and a Cognitive Behaviorial therapist. Since 1989 she has worked with individuals and couples experiencing distressing life events such as anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and stress. She sees her role as assisting her clients to resolve the issues that bring them into therapy and to leave therapy with tools for their daily life.
Jane brings to her work extensive experience and training, and draws from a wide variety of techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, and family systems to create an individualized strategy to address each person’s unique issues.
Her clients experience benefits that include changing old unuseful patterns and beliefs, resolution of childhood and other traumas, ability to manage issues as they come up in the present, and a more positive view of the future.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Psychology, University of Minnesota; Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology, University of British Columbia; Certified EMDR therapist with advanced training, including the Kitchur Strategic Developmental Model™.
