I am passionate about relationships and what makes them work better!  I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (#1424) working since 1991 as a therapist, seminar and workshop presenter, group facilitator, researcher, and advocate.  Clinically I am interested in chronic (long-standing) patterns of hurtful relationships, and I use attachment and trauma theories to inform my work with clients

Whether a painful relationship to others is the problem (constant conflict, hurtful behaviours, choosing the wrong partner, difficulty in letting go) or a destructive relationship to self (anxiety, depression, procrastination, eating disorders, or substance abuse), I work with people (indiviudally or as a couple) to break free from deeply-embedded negative patterns of relating and to create the healthy, loving relationships you desire.

I have post-graduate training in therapies including Imago Relationship Therapy, Self-Regulation Therapy (SRT), and Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP).  I also have a substance abuse certificate and trauma management training. 

I work in a precise, in-depth fashion—focusing on the body, as well as emotions and thoughts—to help you develop insights and change negative self-destructive patterns quickly.
