Practice information:
Brenna King has a Masters degree and is a registered member of the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors. She offers her private practice in North Vancouver (Lonsdale and 20th). She also provides counselling by phone or online if needed.
There are key times in life when we get that inner voice telling us that something needs to change. An addiction is maybe getting out of hand, a trauma from the past is disrupting your day to day life. Perhaps you have experienced a loss or major life change (planned or unplanned). Perhaps you work in one of the helping professions and you find it increasingly hard to care and empathize with the people in your life. That inner voice may be questioning the larger meaning and direction of life.
These are just some of the reasons people begin a counselling process.. Counselling provides a time to reflect, take stock, go inward, acquire new life tools to make life work better and to feel better about who you are.
Brenna brings over 30 years of experience to the table. She has worked in the areas of addiction and trauma recovery. She has worked with those who are navigating key life turning points and challenges such as unexpected loss, health issues, death, burn out, depression and anxiety. She understands the impact of trauma on the nervous system and the brain and can offer help with modalities such as EFT and EMDR. Her approach is holistic and eclectic pulling from a wide range of modalities explored and deepened over many years of practice and study.
Brenna's work as a counsellor is grounded in a holistic and transpersonal vision. On-going study in metaphysics, archetypical psychology, body centered psychology, Buddhism and other spiritual traditions inform her work. Her approach is collaborative and empathic, providing a safe environment for healing to unfold.
Please give Brenna a call or send an email if you have inquiries about her practice.
