Allison worked as a Youth Care Counsellor from 1998 until 2004 and acquired her Undergraduate Degree, majoring in Sociology and Religious Studies. Upon returning to Vancouver in 2006, she connected with a Mental Health Outreach Team on the North Shore. There she assisted many adults, with various mental health struggles, be active members in their community.
In her second year of her Master's of Arts Degree, Allison was hired to be a Family Therapist in East Vancouver. With over 14 years of experience in the field, Allison offers a wealth of knowledge, education, and expertise.
Allison Rice currently works as a Family Therapist in her own private practice, while spending time as a Clinical Counsellor at a residential treatment centre for youth struggling with the effects of substance misuse.
Allison's calm, methodical and safe approach to her counseling enables clients to feel comfortable working with her; breaking through barriers, and slowly removing walls of any fears and anxieties in their lives.
